Door-de-molen

Door-de-molen® is a method developed by Doordacht to arrive at the positioning of a brand or organization, and is based on the well-known Brand Key Model. The mill, turned in the right wind direction so that the blades spin at full force, represents an organization that distinguishes itself from the competition based on its own identity and successfully communicates with its target audience. The questionnaire below is intended as preparation for a Door-de-molen® session and is organized by section of the mill.

The foundation of the mill consists of all things that are more or less fixed for an organization and that together form its identity.

What was the reason for its establishment?

All external factors that you as a company have little to no influence over, but are nevertheless important to take into account.

Do not describe what you deliver, but rather what question or need the customer approaches you with.

Example: a diesel oil supplier deals with a society that wants to reduce CO2 emissions wherever possible, and a soft drink manufacturer deals with consumers who are critical of the amount of sugar in products.

Base this on the market need described above. Which other party could fulfil that need?
